As part of building up to the main event, the INGOMA Foundation identifies a community project within the jurisdiction of where the awards are held. In one day, mostly a Saturday before the awards, the Foundation visits an identified Home / Community Based Organization to make a financial donation of R10 000 – 00 and present goods or necessities of that Community Based Project.
This is done as a way of giving back to the community which the main event is held at for that particular year.
The pictures above are examples of some of the beneficiaries to this process.
During this year, 2024, a community project within Limpopo will be identified as a beneficiary. A proposal is therefore made to the Limpopo Tourism Agency to partner with the INGOMA Foundation on this initiative.
