The INGOMA Foundation, a registered Non Profit Organization with registration number 166-619 NPO, was founded by young people who are actively involved in the gospel music industry. The foundation serves as the face and voice for the upcoming and independent gospel / Christian music community and is dedicated to exposing, promoting and celebrating through the recognition and awarding of their diverse talents. The INGOMA was conceptualized with the aim of recognizing excellence of these upcoming and independent African musicians.

The INGOMA Foundation is responsible for, amongst others, managing the Annual Independent National Gospel Music Awards, therein referred to as the INGOMAs. The foundation has successfully delivered 10 editions of the INGOMAs since 2013 and will be hosting the 11thedition of the INGOMAs on the 31 August 2024.
